were among a host of musicians
to thrill the Friday audience
this year at Bongate Mill.
SATURDAY PROVED TO BE ANOTHER GREAT DAY
AND FEATURED.....
... better weather....
Packed audiences ......... great bands ..... BUT muddy
shoes/boots/wellingtons etc!!
... as well as chilled beer and friendly bar staff
and a cuddley bear
and.....FOOD GLORIOUS F O O D !!!!
....enjoyed by everyone....
.... with an appetite for jazzy f o o d!!

A stream of continuous talent flooded the festival marquee
The Festival BIG BAND exceeded all expectations
And while there was considerable interest in traditional
instruments, the more unusual sounds attracted lots of
attention too !

in aid of
Indian Children
SUNDAY SOUNDS
Visitors to the festival made an early start
This STRING ensemble provided an inspired introduction
to the Appleby Jazz Festival scene
Clarke Tracy provided solid imaginative backing
while NEW and old jazz personalities were well received by the appreciative
audience
