BOLTON MILL DUCK DERBY
Sunday 17th August 2008

While the Bolton Mill Caravan park has now fully recovered
from the devastating storms of a few years ago ...

... the annual charity DUCK DERBY took a different turn this year ...


... due to the high river water and the precarious conditions ..

... the sacked ducks were hauled in front of the farm, two of the regular caravan visitors blindfolded and ....

with organiser Chris Butterworth at the ready
the winning 12 ducks were drawn.

It was thought that over 1000 ducks and their sponsors
all helped to raise a great deal of cash for charity
despite the damp conditions
normally considered
GOOD WEATHER FOR DUCKS!
