A VILLAGE HARVEST CELEBRATION
Friday 25th September
It was the village hall that hosted the Harvest Celebrations of Crosby Ravensworth
Every seat was taken by local people who attended to sing and celebrate harvest and the skill of farmers and those who work on the land
During the service lead by Alex Barbour and the Venerable Kevin Roberts (Archdeacon of Carlisle)
and his wife Anne, gifts of fruit and vegetables were made by the children
Pictured are a number of local people who helped to organise the celebrations .....
The Service ....the harvest meal and following this, an auction of all the gifts was held at the conclusion
with the money raised helping towards renovation work needed to be done at the local parish church
With singing and readings by children from the local school,
it all made for a very happy and successful community thanks giving
