CROSBY RAVENSWORTH SHOW
Thurs 26th August


The first thing to be seen at the Crosby Ravensworth show was the ploughing


which required some considerable skill and patience in order to fulfil the challenge of the competition


Other events included competition with horses, sheep, cattle and carriage driving


There were a good number of spectators who enjoiyed the events in the glorious sunshine


The cumberland and Westmorland wrestling attracted a fair number of entries, the female winner was from Dent (left) and the senior winner from Scotland (right)

Inside the tents were an array of interesting models
the above was first started in 1952

The show was a demonstration of various skills with stock, arts and crafts and many others ....

....including the preservation of classic cars and the showing of well kept horses
