One of the classes led by Mandy Miller from
EDEN GROVE SCHOOL

prepared and presented
AFTERNOON TEA AND A RAFFLE
in aid of
EDEN VALLEY HOSPICE

The afternoon was well attended by local people
and supporters of the school

Mandy Miller
explained that the event had all come about
through citizenship lessons which had created
a great deal of enthusiasm.

BUT
the main events of the day were enthusiastically
managed by the boys of the school who served
a range of carefully prepared refreshments.

Among those who attended the event was ..

... the head of the school - John McCaffrey
who like everyone else enjoyed the spirit of the day
as well as the taste of the refreshments.



Many of the local people agreed that it has been a great afternoon


Following the refreshments which included
cakes, scones, biscuits and tea and coffee
THE RAFFLE ATTRACTED LOTS OF INTEREST


The Bishop of Penrith
was encouraged to help
by pulling one of the winning tickets
in the Prize Raffle

among the lucky winners were .....


The donations to the raffle were made by local people and supporters of the school


we all know
what a struggle it can be parting with
plants that have been grown and tended to
over such a long period of time

BUT
ALL THE FUNDS RAISED FROM THE AFTERNOON
Totalling £310.03
are to be given

EDEN VALLEY HOSPICE
