HESKET-NEW-MARKET SHOW
Saturday 4th September


Success and sunshine at Hesket New-Market Show


with astonishing variety made the show an amazing success for entrants, demonstrators and visitors alike


Big dogs, fancy dress and a number of horse events kept the main ring busy and the crowds entertained

The Cumberland and Westmorland wrestling was a great attraction for girls and boys

and a range of tug of war contests

caused great excitement all round

The fell races encouraged a fair number of entrants ....above the Junior Race with the fastest girls and boys

and the senior race was concluded in a good time.... First THREE home above

At the end of the day, all the preparation and effort seemed well worth it as the presentation ....

..... of the stock was aptly enhanced by the glorious weather on the day

One of the many highlights of the day was .....

....the terrier racing which drew lots of applause and cuddles for the winner!
