HORSE TRIALS
Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th September
A great day for riders, horses
and spectators too!!
Following the dressage came the show jumping
The challenging cross country proved too much for some of the
entrants
The organisers -
Douglas and Lucinda Weymouth
were well pleased with the day
There were opportunities to get down to some
serious picture taking too!
The chicken coops proved to be
a formidable task for some horses
There were some clear rounds which pleased riders
and spectators too
There were lots of supporters willing their riders on!
This colourful rider completed the cross country course successfully

These riders were particularly successful on the Saturday and
received their awards from Organiser Douglas Weymouth

Out on the cross country course the horses and riders are put to the test
The show jumping arena
saw some fine rounds
One of this seasons most successful riders excelled once again on the cross
country
There were a number of riders and horses which were not able
to complete the course - the ones shown above all completed their tasks successfully
Eventing, however is a high risk activity and the skills of the riders are well
tested at times!
However when things go wrong, help and assistance is on hand.
A young rider was reported to have fallen at the Dew Pond, breaking her collarbone.
The services on hand together with the air ambulance quickly and afficiently
deal with the situation.
