KENDAL TORCHLIGHT CARNIVAL
Friday 10th September
Despite the DAMP the carnival got off to a colourful start
Some visitors remembering to send a postcard ....
.... others made detailed preparations for the long walk around Kendal
and for this happy group FLOWER POWER had returned for one night
but as the darkness fell the carnival got underway ..... the vehicles at the front
followed by BANDS, DANCE teams and a variety
of other entertaining groups
It was obvious that a lot of time and effort had gone into preparing elaborate displays
supplemented by great music and swirling colour at every corner
with the streets lined by enthusiastic onlookers
... enjoying the music, movement and sheer variety of the carnival.....despite the weather!!
