Keswick on Derwentwater
The amazing view from Friar's Crag is surely worth a trip to Keswick.
The centre of Keswick is bright with bunting and the England flag.
By day or night...its red and white!
Numerous craft shops display the work and skills of local people........... and the centre is a car free zone, space to chat!
See if you can find this sculpture close to the centre of town.
From Hope Park, a view of The Heads and Skiddaw beyond is a great sight.
Visit one of Keswicks parks and relax by the flower beds or play pitch and put!
The National Trust promoting awareness of the area.
Things to do -
A walk by the lake or a tour of the town centre and shops.
A visit to the Keswick Museum and Art Gallery.
Take a dip in the specially heated leisure pool.
Take a walk along the old railway track.
Visit the Car Museum in the centre of town.
A short walk to Keswick's Cumberland Pencil Factory is well worth it.
For walkers and hikers a longer walk around the lake is well worthwhile.
For the adventurous, a hike up one of the many local fells is to be recommended if you have the kit.
Keswick must be a record holder for the highest number of outdoor clothing shops - Get kitted out!
See the view from - Walla Crag, Latrigg, Cat Bells, Grisedale Pike or take a casual stroll to Watendlath.

And....... THE KESWICK SHOW is a must at the end of August!

The lakes busy boats can ferry visitors and walkers from one landing stage to another.
