August 6th, 7th and 8th 2004

First Day Pictures

The half marathon was started at 12.00 from the main arena.

The leaders quickly emerged.

The eldest entry knew exactly the right pace
for such a warm day!

This family from Long Marton with Sandy their beautiful golden retreiver
were pictured enjoying their day out at Lowther.

Ice cream in the morning was one of the ways to cool down
in the warm atmosphere!

The fishing events started on Saturday but there was some considerable interest on the Friday.

For the youngsters learning how to fish in a fun way!

These creative fishing activities attracted people of all ages with lots of success.

There were some luxurious rugs and carpets at this stand

If it was a puzzle you were looking for then this was the right spot!

These uniquely painted animals were the work of just one of the talented artists
who are exhibiting at Lowther.
