The half marathon attracted lots of participants
But....these three came ahead of the rest!
The ZULU National Theatre Company made a fleeting visit to the arena
in preparation for their display on Saturday and Sunday
They gave a dramatic display of dance and vocal skills which thrilled
the crowd
This family from the EDEN VALLEY enjoyed the first day of the show
The trade stands attracted lots of attention and would be well worth
a look on subsequent days too
While there was piano entertainment there were also
works of art to be seen
and....wellies
JUST IN CASE!!!!
SATURDAY
The Yorkshire Volunteers Band presented a new routine for the Lowther
Show
The presentation and music were both as immaculate as ever and everyone
was very impressed by the performance
People also enjoyed this traditional jazz band
who played at various venues during the show
Ye Olde Red Tail Falconry display captured the imagination of young
and old
.... and as great as ever......LORENZO returned
to thrill the crowd with his tremendous skill and wonderful horses
The Firestone Parachute Display Team dropped into the
main arena right on time
The pilot, paramedic and doctor
dropped in to the FRIENDS OF THE PRIDE OF CUMBRIA tent for breakfast

CARRIAGE DRIVING - OBSTACLES
Robert Bowman tackling the obstacle course
The route from one obstacle to another provided a chance for speed and
spectacular scenery
This unseated driver had a lucky escape as the carriage struck the side
of the obstacle and he was thrown from the driving seat!
