Penrith May Day Carnival

The weather was fine and there was a great turn out to witness the colourful
display of floats and costumes
The Carnival Queen arrived in a spectacular blue CC207 and was presented
with flowers and a souvenir of MAY DAY 2008
There was a generous turn out of floats representing youth groups and
charities
with some spectacular
G I A N T S!!!
.....And some very unusual costumes
The parade was blessed with a number of larger than life characters
who all enjoyed the occasion
The belly dancers and cake stall were very attractive in their own way!
While the SAMBA BAND continued their display of
MUSIC and MOVEMENT!
One of the stall was serving great Spanish food with their usual Spanish
flair!
But at the end of the day its the smile that counts!
