ULLSWATER COUNTRY FAIR

One of the many features of this great local show were the quality of the well kept dogs

and energy of a number of fit and healthy fell runners!


A wide range of fell races to suit most age groups were set up and a record number of entries made for interesting competitions

which were followed by organisers and supporters alike

as the seniors climbed to the top of the high fell before returning to the finishing line

In the senior race the first three were as above

for the younger entrants, it was a matter of either cooling down after the race ... enjoying being FIRST (centre) or just texting the result on the mobile phone!

While all entrants returned to the showground safely, following their respective races ....

... just a short distance away a walker was being skilfully helped from the fells
by local mountain rescue services and the air ambulance from Blackpool
