ULLSWATER COUNTRY SHOW 2009
Sunday 28th June
A wonderful scene greeted visitors to this great country show
.. with lots to see and do at all times of the day
There were many fun stalls and stuff to be bought and a chance to sit in the driving seat of THE PATTERDALE FIRE ENGINE
The middle of the day brought the fell races when runners from various parts of the country eagerly took to the hills
For those of a slower vein there were other things to thrill the body - climbing wall and Rodeo!
For the younger speedsters there were the well organised races - running, sack, skipping and rings
However a heavy shower brought many of the planned proceedings to a temporary halt
Finally the Westmorland and Cumberland wrestling pulled lots of spectators together to witness some fine bouts and close contests
While a number of entrants went home with tangible souvenirs ....
.... ALL went home feeling it had been a great day out....
...AND SOME jumped FOR JOY!!!
