The boys of school age process with the crosses.

The Warcop Rushbearing Organising Committee.

Chairman - Thomas Hindson. Secretary - Colin Harrison. Treasurer - Michael Gregson

These youngsters proudly wear their rosettes and beautifully made flowery crowns.

A section of the King's Division Normandy Band who led the parade.

The flowers were so good they went to their heads!

Beautifully decorated houses lined the route of the parade.

Something to remember!

The slight rain didn't deter the procession through the village.

The well prepared observers wait for the return of the parade.

At Warcop Hall there was time to chat, enjoy refreshments and hear the well prepared music of the band.

The rousing band music was well appreciated by the children and their parents.

................................Facing the Music.........Flowery Face..................Famous Faces.....Smart Repercussions!

After refreshments at Warcop Hall the final few yards to the church is soon achieved.

The Bishop of Penrith the Rt. Rev James Newcombe and Vicar the Rev Timothy Thornton

met the children at the gate of St. Columba's Church.

Bishop James Newcombe leads the procession to the church.

The well attended service was enhanced by well presented words and music from the children of the school.

The crosses contrasted ideally with the amazing detail in the crowns.

Following the service and refreshments in the village hall for the children

there were local children's and adult sports held on the Army Sports Field.
